Minitramp Exercises for Ankle Stability

Following an ankle injury, proprioceptive exercises must be performed to help regain the stability of the joint. Stability exercises, such as the minitramp oscillations will help train the body to handle dynamic movements such as cutting and jumping that occur on the soccer field. These exercises will help strengthen the small muscles in the foot and ankle as well as the major calf muscles. The exercises can be performed for 15-60 seconds at a time with a short rest in between sets. Perform 2-4 sets of each exercise as long as they are painfree. These exercises can also be used to help prevent future ankle sprains.
