Interval Mild Cut Runs

Interval Mild Cut Runs

This is a great run for those that are transitioning from linear runs to cutting runs especially after injury. Using the D and the Center Circle, this run requires a mild cut that stress the lateral/medial (outside/in) leg musculature and ligaments.  An interval training load is used to increase cardiovascular load. The player sprints the black and recovery jogs on the red.  Typically a 1:2 sprint/recovery ratio is used.  A starting point would be 20 seconds for the sprint (black) and 40 seconds for the recovery jog (red).  As fitness and comfort increase, sprint and recovery jogs times can be reduced.
